Brand and Bra Spotlight: Freya Zentangle

Brand and Bra Spotlight: Freya Zentangle

We have lots and lots and lots of bras at JOY.  Nothing can bring this point home more than last week when we scanned our inventory.  We have THOUSANDS of bras.  Each one of these bras is chosen for specific reasons and hoping to fill a distinct need.  We took a break from our tedious inventory task to try on our newest addition…

“Zentangle” by FREYA

unnamed-12Freya may be a brand unfamiliar to many of you.  We have a few at the shop, primarily molded bras in larger cup sizes.  Freya offers bras from a 28-40 band and a C – K cup and take their name from the Norse goddess of love.  Freya targets a woman who wants fun, supportive bras that follow current fashion trends.  Maybe that very popular bra retail store in the mall has the look you like (fun colors, plunging lines) but you’re  just thinking it doesn’t fit properly.  It could be that you aren’t a 34DD but are a really a 30F!  That is a size that can be a challenge to find but one that Freya rocks!  You may find yourself more comunnamed-13fortable in a band size down in Freya bras, they tend to be cut generously.

When the Freya rep showed us Zentangle, Courtney was particularly smitten by its coloring book aesthetic, but looks alone never get a bra through our doors.  Zentangle is what is known as a “cut & sew” bra, which traditionally means the bra cup is sewn in 3 pieces, offering more support and structure for breast tissue.  We love this bra so much we have it in both available styles – the plunge balcony and the padded longline.  Balcony styles fit most women well (remember, if it doesn’t work, it’s not you, it’s the bra!) and allow for deeper necklines.  The longline is lightly lined with a wide band offering plenty of side support.  Both styles are very supportive and comfortable but more than anything this bra is just really FUN!  It looks super cute and gives lots of lift.  Maybe you’d like to get out the sharpies and start coloring?

Julie joined the JOY team last spring.  She’s become a star bra fitter and proclaims to be from the “Church of Matching Underpants.”  Appreciate her writing this Brand and Bra Spotlight!

Bras can be fun!  Hope to see you…
