Undie of the Month – November

Undie of the Month – November

img_5837Welcome to our very first “Undie of the Month.”  Every month, the staff at JOY will give a review of a pair of underwear that we sell at the shop.  This month we are reviewing the Wacoal Halo Lace Boyshort.  Is this the right panty for you?  Here’s what we have to say…

TEAM JOY #3:  Being a boyshort fan, I was anxious to try the Wacoal boyshort panties. I picked out an ivory pair in size large and was delighted to find that they worked for my body.  I found them to be lightweight, pretty and stayed where I needed them to stay on my backside. I’d like to get a black pair next as the lacy fabric looks kind of sexy.  I have a, ahem, let’s say larger bottom than top so the boyshort style works well for me in general.  I wasn’t surprised I liked these.

The Wacoal boyshorts caught my eye because they match one of our most popular bras. I selected a medium pair in nude. They are lightweight and didn’t give me the sensation of having a bunch of unnecessary fabric which I feel with some boyshorts. They didn’t cling to tightly to my legs and didn’t slide down while I was wearing jeans. I will keep these in rotation

TEAM JOY #2:  Not my fave! This particular boy short style didn’t work on the shape of my body. The backside cut into my booty, leaving me with panty lines and discomfort. The gusset area was too wide and crept down my inner thighs… however, the lace is pretty, and the waistband was comfortable.wacoal_halo_lace_boyshort_panty_870205_back_black

TEAM JOY #5:  I test-wore the Wacoal boyshort for Octobers “undies of the month” & was not a huge fan for my particular body type. The legs & bum were fine but the waist hit me in an inconvenient place- not high enough to be high nor low enough to be low. This is a perfect example how your body type can determine what styles work best for you.

The waist came up a bit higher in the front than the rear and the legs were a bit snug. The waist was loose however and folded down when I would sit or lean over, so would only work for me under a jean, and not a skirt or dress of softer fabric. I don’t wash by hand, but throw items into a lingerie bag to keep them safe from zippers and other things that could snag lace and they held up just fine.

The Wacoal Halo Lace boy short is available in ivory, nude, and black and is sized small through large.  Come on in and we can talk about underpants!
